HoChunk Labor Day PowWow 2010

The HoChunk nation puts on a fantastic PowWow every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. They do a great job of communicating their culture to the non-native viewers. They also do a fantastic job of honoring not only the HoChunk veterans, but all veterans, no matter what their race. If you are in the area, check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Spartans Last Game

Even though the LaCrosse Spartans lost their last game of the season, it was a good game. Well played guys. We are looking forward to seeing you on the field again next season.

Memorial Day

Memorial day is here. What a wonderful way to celebrate and honor veterans of all wars. We joined the Ho Chunk at their annual Memorial Day Pow Wow in Black River Falls. The color and the pageantry are spectacular. But it is obvious that the Native Americans hold deep respect for the fallen and currently serving members of our nations military. Thanks for letting us join you.

Spartan's almost win!!

The LaCrosse Spartans almost won their game tonight. They were ahead with 1 minute and 15 seconds to go. Unfortunately a penalty after their touchdown put the ball in play well down in home territory and Bloomington took advantage of it and scored. Our last second field goal attempt to tie the score went wide to the right. Keep plugging away guys.
